Some people find our times funny, while others see them as sad and anxious. It's a time of doubt, loss of meaning and big questions. We look back, consciously or unconsciously, on these times.


Where did we come from? It's a question we can at least partially answer. We come from our Earth, which is both brutal and generous. With a little miraculous water and the help of our primitive ancestors, we have evolved from the chlorophyll stage to our present state. We are gatherers, inventors, explorers, farmers, warriors, creators, preachers, polluters and thinkers.


But where are we going? At a time of cataclysmic ecological announcements and the disappearance or hysterization of religions, in a world where nuclear facilities are at our fingertips, we are like little Ulysses lost, no longer knowing which sea to sail.


I've devised a photographic narrative in 5 acts: the foundation of our land, the water source of life, the nourishing tree, thoughts and beliefs, and finally the monoliths. This last act is an obvious nod to Kubrick's film. Those who follow me in this narrative will be able to construct their own interpretation. The monoliths, these unreal elements of today, are silent witnesses to our troubled world, and perhaps they open doors to your own possibilities...
